The Thief of Dreams knocked at the door yesterday
He had called for me, but instead met my wife
That evening she recalled he lacked much to say
And, in good form, she’d suggested to go get a life
“In constant pursuit ma’am, and making headway
Please spare me some food, I promise no strife!”
But a thief takes what’s wanted, with no intent to repay
Upon lowering your guard, you’re let down with a knife
