The girl next door

The Universe . . .

is expanding . . .

(and it’s getting faster).

The-Universe-is-expanding, and-it’s-getting-faster
So where . . . did the girl next door . . . go?

Crystallizing youth, and watching setting plaster
Loud-cigarette hair – and cold, ear-ringing snow

On a much different track, I woke in Lancaster
To hang long there, you must learn to tiptoe

I’m hearing . . .

wonderful . . .

(feedback).

After this life, you may purchase the soundtrack
Like chary whipped topping on frigid jello

Learn to brush the teeth well, you don’t want any plaque
Smile while you’re young, long pants are easy to sew

You see, across from the sovereign is a cul-de-sac
Hope she knows that and found an open place to grow
