Do we find ourselves trapped, on this upper floor?
No exits, no ladders, no un-barred door
Shopping through windows, we compare and explore
An anxious survival beckons for more

Visions on horizon, soar from A to B
Mirroring the motion, from self to flee
Comings and goings, fear individually
The timeless, collective meaning of “be”

And on this same floor, a quiet little mouse
Comfortably crafted a quiet little house
“To see them all moving from point A to point B
If they knew I was here, they’d attempt to invade me!”

“Be louder, work faster, try meowing – at that!
Yet within these windows, I have no space for a cat.
Let them try changing this world – they think they see
While I wonder at this crumb – authentically me.”
