Silent outpost

One distant letter might bring you so close
Woolen blankets of stars within a silent outpost
A silence that stems from knowing what’s most
And weathering the storms of castaway coasts

This ancient letter might bring you here now
A Milky Way mirror lifts up a young brow
Long welcomed, you’ve already been here somehow
You’ve touched that lone tree, you’d swung from it’s bough

And here you will find there is plenty of time
It’s always been here to remind you “you’re fine”
You shook off the dust and wiped off the grime
One look at your eyes, they prove you still shine
